Meet Brian &
Tamara
Hello! We are Brian and Tamara, and we’re honored to share our
lives with you! Thank you for taking the time to learn about us.
Our Story:
We were high school sweethearts who, after going our separate ways in
college, fell in love again and married 14 years later! We just
celebrated our 8th wonderful year of marriage. We are blessed to have
a strong and healthy marriage which we will never take for granted.
When fertility tests revealed we would be unable to conceive we were
heartbroken, but God has healed that hurt and has given us a passion for
adoption. We can’t wait to meet the precious baby God has chosen for us
to raise.
Tamara on Brian:
Brian is famous among our friends and family for his sense of humor. I
fell in love with his integrity, intelligence, and passion for God. He
is tender-hearted and encouraging, and he is a very caring and committed
husband. Children are drawn to his smile and his silliness. He has
never outgrown the joys of playing, and he takes great pleasure in
playing with our nieces and nephews, as well as our friends’ children.
Tea parties or football; kites or dolls – count him in. He loves being
outdoors and looks forward to taking a little one on picnics, hikes,
fishing and camping trips. He works hard to provide for our family and
he takes very good care of us. I know he will be the greatest daddy!
Brian on Tamara:
Tamara is God’s perfect provision for me, and I adore her. She is
sweet, funny, and wise. As a former music teacher, she knows how to
make learning fun. She delights in sewing, cooking, and in making all
sorts of crafts. Her creativity seems boundless, and I hope she’ll pass
that creativity on to our children. She’ll sing and pray, read and
snuggle with our children. She’s going to be an awesome mommy. Tamara
works part-time at our church for now, but her schedule is very flexible
and she will be able to take the baby to the office with her. We are
planning for her to be a stay-at-home mommy very soon.
Our Home:
We live in San Antonio. It is a great place to raise a family - the
hill country is beautiful, and there is so much to see and do. Our home
rests in a quiet neighborhood on the northeast side of town. We share
it with our little red-haired dog named Reilly (she’s great with
children and loves to play) and our cat named Gracie. We love our home
and are building great memories here.
Our Faith:
As committed Christians, our faith in God guides our lives. We are very
involved in our church. Brian is a deacon, and we both sing in the
choir and on the praise team. We’ve taught Sunday School and Vacation
Bible School. We have a wonderful church family who love and care for
us, including several friends who have also been blessed by adoption.
Family and Friends:
We treasure the time spent with our families. We are very close to them
and they are all anxious to welcome a child to our family. Brian’s
parents live 4 hours away, but are always ready to make a trip up to see
the grandkids, and Tamara’s mother just moved into a neighborhood 5
minutes away. Before Tamara’s daddy passed away this summer, he wept
tears of joy when he learned were going to adopt! We also have close
friends with young children who have prayerfully supported us through
our adoption journey. They eagerly await the fun our families will
share together with a few more kids in the mix!
For Fun:
We love to explore, often taking day-trips to nearby state parks and
small towns. We enjoy taking pictures, picnicking, hiking and camping.
We are best friends and we have chosen to make family time a priority.
As our family grows, our family time and our adventures will be even
sweeter!
In Closing:
We realize it has taken incredible love, courage, and selflessness for
you to choose adoption. We are so grateful you did! We pray for you
and think of you often. A home filled with faith, love, and laughter
awaits the children that we will love and nurture. If you choose to
place your child in our family, you can be certain that your baby will
know you, love you, and never forget you. There is no greater gift than
this precious life.
With great love and respect,
Brian & Tamara
