Meet Brian &
Tamara

Hi!
We’re Brian and Tamara. We’re so glad you’ve taken the time to read
a little more about us! We hope to get to know you, too!
Our Love Story:
We were high school sweethearts who drifted apart in college but fell in
love and married 14 years later! This fall we will celebrate our 10th
wedding anniversary. We have never been more in love and our marriage
has only grown stronger. While we are very happy, we both long for
children. When fertility tests revealed we would be unable to conceive
we were heartbroken, but God has healed that hurt and we are excited to
see how He will build our family and grow our love through adoption.
Tamara Says:
Brian is famous among our friends and family for his sense of humor. I
fell in love with his integrity, intelligence, and passion for God. He
is tender-hearted and encouraging, and he is a very caring and committed
husband. Children are drawn to his smile and his silliness. He has
never outgrown the joys of playing, and he takes great pleasure in
playing with our nieces and nephews, as well as our friends’ children.
Tea parties or football; kites or dolls – count him in. He loves being
outdoors and looks forward to taking a little one on picnics, hikes,
fishing and camping trips. He works hard for an internet-based hand
dryer distributor to provide for our family and he takes very good care
of us. I know he will be the greatest daddy!
Brian Says:
Tamara is God’s perfect provision for me, and I adore her. She is
sweet, funny, and wise. As a former music teacher, she knows how to
make learning fun. She delights in sewing, cooking, and in making all
sorts of crafts. Her creativity seems boundless, and I hope she’ll pass
that creativity on to our children. She’ll sing and pray, read and
snuggle with our children. She’s going to be an awesome mommy. Tamara
works part-time at our church for now, but her schedule is very flexible
and she will be able to take the baby to the church with her when she’s
working. We are hoping that she’ll be able to be a stay-at-home mommy
in the near future.
Our Home:
We love living in San Antonio. It’s a great place to raise a family -
the hill country is beautiful, and there is so much to see and do. Our
home rests in a quiet neighborhood on the northeast side of town. We
share it with our little red-haired dog named Reilly (she loves to play
with children). We love our home and are building special memories
here. Several of our neighbors are young couples or have young
children. We have an excellent elementary school, a public library, and
a beautiful city park right in our neighborhood.
Our Faith:
We want
to learn to love God more, so church is a big part of our life. Brian
is a deacon and we both sing in the choir and on the praise team. We
enjoy working with children and youth there. Our church family loves
and cares for us and we know our children will love it there!
Family and Friends:
We’re so happy that our family lives close by, because we love spending
time together! They are all eager to welcome a child to our family.
Brian’s parents live 4 hours away, but are hoping to move to San Antonio
by next year. Tamara’s mother and both of our brothers’ families live
nearby. Tamara’s daddy passed away in 2009, but while he was still with
us, he wept with joy when we told him we wanted to adopt! We are also
blessed to have close friends with young children who have prayerfully
encouraged us through our adoption journey. They look forward to the
fun our families will share together with a few more kids in the mix!
For Fun:
We love adventures, exploring and taking day-trips to nearby state parks
and small towns. We enjoy taking pictures, picnicking, antiquing,
hiking and camping. We are best friends and we have chosen to make
family time a priority. As our family grows, our adventures will be
even sweeter!
In
Closing:
We know that you will never stop loving this child you’re carrying. We
understand that it’s your love that is giving you the courage to make
this difficult decision. We’re praying for you to have peace and
assurance as you choose a family and future for your child. We know
it’s hard to really know us from a brief letter, but we want you to know
for sure that we love each other with a love that will not
quit. We will share that kind of love with the children God
gives us. Your child will know that your love did not quit either,
and never will. That means that our family will keep looking for
ways to love each other more and more, and we will always treasure you
and your sacrifice in our hearts.
With great love and respect,
Brian & Tamara
